What is Chestny Znak and why is import marking required?
Chestny Znak is Russia’s national product marking and traceability system (CRPT). For categories like apparel/textiles, toys, and footwear, marking and data submission are mandatory at import and sale stages.
What “one-stop” services does ESSAONE provide?
Code issuance → label printing/application → compliant customs clearance → data submission to CRPT via OFD → delivery of compliance and reconciliation documents.
Which categories are currently covered?
Toys, bicycles, adult apparel accessories, and selected home textiles (e.g., towels/aprons). Children’s apparel/accessories are being added.
What’s the difference between EAC and Chestny Znak?
EAC covers technical regulation compliance (certification/declaration); Chestny Znak covers product marking and traceability. ESSAONE can handle both.
Where should labeling be done — in China or in Russia?
We recommend labeling in China during production and providing the required documents with the shipment to ensure end-to-end traceability and faster customs clearance.
What information is needed from the buyer?
Company credentials (INN/OGRN) and a contact person; for urgent batches, please also provide an SKU list and packaging artwork if available.
What are the timelines and costs?
Preparation typically 2–5 business days, labeling 1–3 days. The process adds time and labor to standard inbound/catalog workflows; for ESSAONE customers with a signed contract and platform order, processing and labeling are free (within agreed scope).
How is data transmitted to the system?
Through connected operators/OFD to CRPT. After submission, confirmations and reconciliation documents are available in your account.
What are the risks of non-compliance?
Fines and restrictions on circulation. Working with ESSAONE reduces compliance risks and keeps transactions aligned with regulations.
